Through 7/1, Southwest has elevated offers on their 3 personal credit cards through Chase, earning 80k, 85k, or 90k bonus points. What is particularly interesting to me about these offers is that the required spend is quite low, resulting in a strong points-per-dollar spent, similar to the American card in-flight deal which ends tomorrow.
The lowest fee Plus card is offering 80k points after only $1k spend in 3 months, the mid-tier Premier card is offering 85k points after $2k spend, and the top-tier Priority card is offering 90k points after $3k spend. While the timing is not great to use these cards for a close to 2 year Companion Pass, these offers are easily worth over $1000 in value based on the bonuses and perks. Referral links are also offering these elevated deals with lower spend requirements.
Which card is best depends on your situation and how often you fly Southwest, check bags, and value seat assignments. I compared some different scenarios here in a previous post. In general, if you fly Southwest frequently or with a larger family, the Priority card tends to be the clear winner. If you are a solo traveler, then the Plus card can make more sense. There really isn’t a scenario where the Premier card makes sense, in my opinion.

As usual, these cards are subject to Chase’s 5/24 rule and you aren’t eligible for the bonus if you have received one in the last 24 months on any of the Southwest personal cards. You can however have one of the personal cards and a business card at the same time. While the Southwest business cards are subject to the 5/24 rule, they will not count towards your 5/24 status.
