Lounge Review: Capital One Lounge DFW

A few weeks ago I had the chance to visit my first Capital One lounge on my way home from Dallas DFW. Located in Terminal D near gate D22, the lounge is readily accessible when flying any airline as all gates are connected airside via the Skylink train. On this particular trip I was departing from the C gates, and it was a quick 10 minute walk and ride to catch my flight after leaving the lounge.

As a popular lounge in a very large airport, it is common that there is a wait to enter, but fortunately you can check in on the Capital One app and try to time it so your wait inside the terminal is minimized. In this case I checked in while we were waiting to return on the rental car shuttle. However, I had a different problem on this trip; I actually made it through the digital queue so quickly that I was denied access at the lounge check in because it was still more than 3 hours before my departure. That gave me a chance to quickly check out The Club Priority Pass lounge for a bit before heading back when it was my turn again.

Under the current rules, I was able to bring in 2 guests with my Capital One Venture X card. Those rules are changing in February 2026, as summarized here:

As for the lounge itself, I will let the pictures do most of the talking, but generally this lounge is FAR superior to the average Priority Pass lounge and was both larger and had more food options than some of the Chase Sapphire lounges I have visited.

There are a wide range of seating options and despite the lounge being at full capacity it was relatively easy to get seating together for our group of four. There is also great natural light and tarmac views from the large windows on one side.

The very wide selection of food options was my favorite part of this lounge. From the grab and go section near the entrance, baked goods and individual portions of both cold and hot food, there was something for everyone. My favorite two items were the chocolate caramel beignets – a few made it into a to-go bag to take home for the rest of the family – and the chicken marsala.

On the beverage side of things, there was a self-serve station with colas, tea, lemonade, and water and a full bar with some pretty high end (as far as lounges go) drinks. The standard tequila was Arette, which is a quality product, and the Butter Pecan Old Fashioned was a great choice. The bartenders were also very friendly.

Additionally, this lounge had additional services beyond restrooms: showers that can be reserved, a nursing room, small cycling room with 2 bikes and yoga mats, a relaxation room and a multi-faith room. These were all occupied so I didn’t get the chance to take photos.

TL;DR: Despite the wait to enter, I appreciated the comfort and amenities of the Capital One Lounge DFW. The wide range of food and beverage selections were the star of the show, and it was a comfortable place to wait for my evening flight.
