For their Week of Wow promotion, Southwest launched a new offer today to earn 2X Rapid Rewards points today for flights booked through 1/13 and flown through 5/21.
Like many of their offers, this is a narrow window to book, but it does offer a pretty wide window to actually fly. If you have any trips to book this weekend, you should definitely register before booking because unfortunately, previously booked flights flown during the window do not count.
However, there is a potentially better way to take advantage of this program. If you have any previously booked flights that have not gone up in price, you can cancel and rebook those flights during the window and still take advantage of this offer. I was able to do that this morning for an upcoming Florida trip. To do this, look up the flights in your account and select Change Flight. Navigate back through to flight selection and you will see the typical flight schedules like the photo below. If the price hasn’t gone up, you can take advantage of this deal.
